AMSL Scientific is pleased to announce Veriflow brewPAL will be showcased at this week’s Craft Brewers Conference in the USA - the industry’s largest gathering of small and independent craft brewers to be held in Portland, Oregon from April 14th to 17th.

Veriflow® brewPAL™ (Pediococcus and Lactobacillus) test kits deliver ultra-sensitive and user-friendly diagnostics to the brewery industry. The patented technology allows for the sensitivity of real-time PCR tests, but with the ease of use associated with flow-based assays. The result is an effective and rapid system that minimises sample preparation, speeds time to results, and provides easy to interpret data for the end user.

AMSL Scientific is looking forward to extend its product range for the brewing industry with these upcoming Veriflow tests:

  • brewBRUX for the detection of Brettanomyces bruxellensis
  • brewDEK for the detection of wild yeast Dekkera species (coming soon)
  • brewMAP for the detection of Megasphaera and Pectinatus species (coming soon)

AMSL Scientific also distributes Veriflow BRETT for detection of Brettanomyces bruxellensis for the wine industry.

May 2013

AMSL has just been awarded 2nd place distributor at the Nova StatStrip/StatSensor sales awards for 2013. The award was announced at the Nova Biomedical Corporation International Dealer Meeting held in Antalya, Turkey this May.

First place at the awards went to our parent company, NZMS based in Auckland, New Zealand.

AMSL Diabetes held a information seminar at The Lion, 29th May 2013, providing information about the Vibe insulin pump, Diasend software and Dexcom continuous glucose monitoring. In total, 22 people attended a relaxed, informal information session. Some consumers were already wearing the Vibe pump or the previous 2020 model. Others had never seen a pump before or were looking at switching to the AMSL range.

Pierre Cirocco, AMSL Diabetes SA Territory Manager, presented on all three products whilst attendees enjoyed dinner. The group asked lots of questions about the waterproof capabilities of the pumps, along with the updated Vibe features. All were keen to upgrade when able. Diasend certainly sparked interest, particularly amongst the Apple die-hards (like me)!

Much of the evening was spent discussing Dexcom, with some attendees already wearing the CGM system giving amazing feedback. The general consensus was that Dexcom CGM was the way of the future.

With the best pump, software and CGM on the market, the evening’s attendees felt that AMSL Diabetes has all bases covered.

A big thank you to Leeane Beasley for assisting with both events and to all those who made the time to attend.

April 2013

AMSL Medical Aesthetics recently took part in the 2013 Cosmetex conference held at the Melbourne convention centre 17th April - 20th April.

AMSL sponsored Plastic Surgeon, Dr Fabio Nicoli, from Italy, to present on new clinical applications with Platelet Rich Plasma in surgery and aesthetic medicine. Regenlab ACR PRP was featured in many presentations along with the launch of the U225 injector.

AMSL Diabetes proudly sponsored the JDRF SA Aquatic Adventure for 2013, held on April 19th at the Marion Aquatic Complex.

In total, 109 Children with type 1 diabetes, their parents and siblings attended a fun day of splashing about! Attendees had an opportunity to play, get to know each other and share experiences.

Pierre Cirocco, AMSL Diabetes SA Territory Manager had an opportunity to speak to the wet, but enthusiastic group during the provided lunch.

Many questions and conversation about the waterproof Vibe pump, with several children swimming with their pumps on! Lots of interest in Dexcom with SAs first child to wear Dexcom there to give a live demonstration to group of very impressed parents.

Overall another hugely successful collaboration between JDRF and AMSL Diabetes, with lots entertained kids during the school holidays.
